Anthony & Josephine Chmura Memorial Scholarship
The Marie Sklodowska Curie Professional Women’s Association is pleased to announce the Anthony & Josephine Chmura Memorial Scholarship competition. This year, MSCPWA will provide three scholarships for women who are matriculated college or university students.
Scholarship Amount: $2,000
Mature women who are working to complete their undergraduate or graduate education are also invited to apply.
Criteria for Application
To be eligible to apply for the Anthony & Josephine Chmura Memorial Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident with a green card
- Use the scholarship funds to study in the United States
- Exhibit exceptional leadership potential
- Excel academically

Please e-mail your application, photo and essay as well as references and transcripts you have acquired to mary.c.bielski@gmail.com with 2026 MSCPWA scholarships as the subject. If the college or a reference source needs to send the transcript or reference privately, you can ask them to mail it to Marie Sklodowska Curie Professional Women’s Association Scholarships.

The $15.00 for application fee (non-refundable) should also be mailed to the P.O.Box Disclaimer: Scholarship funds are intended to help, not to subsidize. MSCPWA provides small scholarships and does not intend to pay full tuition. The Scholarship Committee is chaired by Helen Lesnik, with co-chair Barbara Konopka, and committee members Barbara Kulpa, Karen Timko and Magdalena Gryziec. Mary Bielski, President, serves as a consultant. This year a special scholarship of $2000 in the name of Eva Korzeb will be awarded to a student of math or economics. This is apart from the three chosen candidates. Note: The applicant must be in the second year of studies and reside on the East Coast. Also, the winner has to be able to attend the award ceremony IN PERSON. We will not be able to mail the check. For inquiries call (917) 771 7130
