Anthony & Josephine Chmura Memorial Scholarship

The Marie Sklodowska Curie Professional Women’s Association is pleased to announce the Anthony and Josephine Chmura Memorial Scholarship competition. MSCPWA is glad to announce that this year will be providing three (3) scholarships for women who are matriculated college/university students in any field of study, in the amount of $2,000. Also a special scholarship in memory of         Dr. Jolanta Kulpa-Gubernat in the amount of $4,000 will be awarded to a medical student or physician continuing her education in a specialty which needs to be clearly stated.                                                       Attention: all scholarship applicants must be females of Polish descent. They must list some Polish community involvement, and be from the Tri-State metropolitan area. 

 


Mature women, who are striving to complete their undergraduate/graduate education, are also invited to apply.

Criteria for Application

To be eligible to apply for the Anthony & Josephine Chmura Memorial Scholarship, you must meet the below listed criteria:

  • Be a US citizen or a permanent resident with a green card.
  • Use money to study in the US, not foreign lands.
  • Exhibit exceptional leadership potential.
  • Be involved in the Polish American Community.
  • Excel academically.
  • Be present to receive the scholarship personally at the Marie Skłodowska Curie Scholarship Award Banquet on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Princess Manor in Brooklyn, NY.
